No Makeup Makeup Tutorial: Wild about Beauty

If you are a long-term follower of the blog – or any of my beauty writing – you are also well aware of my obsession with natural beauty. I fall in lust with any product that can work as both a cosmetic and natural ‘treatment’, thus have recently hit the jackpot with Louise Redknapp and Kim Jacob’s line, ‘Wild about Beauty‘.

After trying a few of their products they became destined for a ‘No Makeup Makeup’ tutorial. These kind of looks always take me back to the occasions in high school that I would bother putting make-up on for; speeches, debates, show choir performances (do we just call it Glee now?). When you want to look polished but not ‘made up’, No Makeup Makeup is the way to go.

Products Used:
Sheer Glow Moisture Tint SPF 20 in Fair: No big explanation needed here. Squeeze out a small amount and spread over your face. I may not have had a ‘wow’ moment with this product, but it did its job by evening out my skin tone with a sheer coverage that looked like I was wearing nothing. Because the Sheer Glow contains Organic Winter Cherry Extract, over time it will brighten and nourish the skin.
Smooth Cover Concealer Kit in Fair: Used under the eyes and brow bone (where I will sometimes get red). This concealer is simply fantastic; extremely emollient, long-lasting, and includes two shades so you can customise the shade for your skin tone. Underneath the creams you will find a small tub of invisible setting powder (talc-free) that slips seamlessly into all skin tones. In my opinion, this is Wild about Beauty’s hero product.
Golden Skin Glow (one shade): Using only a half-pump, I blended the gel in as a blush. Because it is a ‘glow’ without the shimmer, the product is suitable for all ages and features a gorgeous blend of Organic Chamomile which – as an anti-inflammatory – made it perfect for my redness-prone cheeks.
Golden Beach Bronzer in Lou: Because I otherwise have ghost skin, I topped the Skin Glow with their powder bronzer. Unfortunately, the superfine powder shattered in the pan on its way to me. No harm, as the aloe vera-packed product was easy to pick up on a brush without making a mess, but a warning needed to be issued!
Nutrilash Nourishing Mascara in Jack-Black: Because I feel eyeliner is a major no-no for ‘no makeup makeup’, a great mascara is needed to define the eyes. This formula is packed full of benefits as Marine Algae Extract works to increase lash length and density whilst Cotton Bloom and Grape Seed Extract protect and strengthen your lashes. Lasting a good ten hours, they have even thrown in some quackgrass to keep lashes super moisturised.
and Lip Pencil Duo in Amber: For the most natural looking pout, I chose to fill my lips in with the lip colour and then outline it softly with the pencil end. Because this diffuses the line, you end up with naturally-textured and full-looking lips treated with vitamin C, vitamin E, and coconut oil.
