free spotify playlist isle of wight festival
This year, I am going to my first ‘big’ festival (Warped Tour ruled my youth). This month’s free Spotify playlist is, naturally, my chance to get hyper excited about attending. Presenting….the Isle of Wight Festival 2014 playlist!

To balance out my fear of shared public toilets and a mass amount of strangers sleeping near me, I have thrown some of the IOW lineup’s best tunes together to make one rad playlist (the bias is real) – just take a look at the track listing, below!

nme awards
Having worked with Windows Phone and NME on a few mini-projects leading up to the 2014 NME Awards, I was incredibly lucky to be invited along to the ceremony itself.

You guys know I’m a music nerd. Being close enough to propose to all of Haim, Lily Allen, Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys), Damon Albarn, and Kate Moss? That was just unreal for me.*

The night turned into a pleasant and Patron-induced blur only a few hours in, but the trusty camera of my Nokia Lumia 1020 (and the 10+ blurry photos of Kate Moss eating Domino’s pizza) will keep the evening fresh for always.

*Sadly, no wedding plans have been set…yet.

free spotify playlist april 2014
The selection process for this month’s free Spotify playlist went something along the lines of:
a) Pretend you’re 12 again. What music is on your mix tape?
b) If you were 12 today and mix tapes still existed, what music would be on it?

Naturally a mix of Travis Barker, Will Smith, and Haim came out from my brain rubble.

If you’re actually 12, loving this playlist officially makes you the coolest kid around.

swim deep nme
This is not a drill, babes. It’s time to win some tickets to Austin, Texas (SXSW, to be exact) alongside Team NME, armed with your very own Nokia Lumia 1020.

To help NME and Windows Phone launch this competition, they sent me along to the #frow of Swim Deep‘s NME Awards gig at Koko to snap the band in action. While I urge you to take a look at all the photos from Swim Deep at Koko, you’ll undoubtedly be most interested in the following…

In their words:

One winner will be chosen and sent out on a paid-for trip to Austin, Texas. You’ll also become part of the NME crew, armed with your very own Nokia Lumia 1020 so you can experience the handset’s potential to capture professional quality shots in a live music setting.

To enter, all you have to do is spot a hidden word in one of my photos (hint: the zoom feature makes it not so hidden).

Click here to enter and GOOD LUCK!
