Pixie Lott at the Duke of Essex PoloThe “Duke Of Essex Polo Cup”* was held at Gaynes Park in Epping, Essex this weekend and Pixie Lott showed up wearing a very straightforward Little Black Dress (LBD) from Moschino Spring 2010.

She paired it with a matchy-matchy small Chanel clutch and my dream shoes – in regards to platforms with cats on them – from Miu Miu Spring 2010. It’s a definite accesory win.

* Yeah, I have no idea either.

Christian Lacroix

Christian Lacroix has been struggling as a brand. Now separated from the original designer, the brand is working to be modernized and pull itself out of debt (as many brands are currently having to do) by apparently charging less.

Head honcho of Lacroix – Sacha Walckhoff – was recently quoted as saying:
“…what I’ve been wanting: to get people to touch Lacroix at last. Brands like Target and H&M would be ideal for that. Of course, I won’t do a couture dress for a mass retailer, but to do a small collection for one would be lovely. I’m open to it. Lacroix is luxury, but the brand’s DNA, as the Spring 2011 collection shows, is about mixing the luxurious and the rough. This creates a large territory to play and craft something everyone could love.”

I would certainly be in that queue. Thank goodness these collaborations are becoming so prevalent!

Megan Fox at the VH1 Do Something AwardsNewly married representative for Armani Jeans and Armani Underwear Megan Fox looked absolutely perfect at the VH1 Do Something Awards. She strutted along the stage in a tan-colored Azzedine Alaïa dress with matching Brian Atwood pumps.

An unusually classy choice for the actress. 10 out of 10.

Lea T Transgender ModelLea T. is a transexual female model who has recently gained notoriety due to recent bookings with Givenchy as a F/W 2010 campaign model alongside veteran models such as Mariacarla Boscono, Malgosia Bella, Catherine McNeil, and up and comer Joan Smalls.

Below (NSFW) she is featured in French Vogue with a hand barely covering herself. Is the world ready for a transgender model in the mainstream? The photo is strong, but there is a definite unedited vulnerability as well. Kudos to French Vogue for this ballsy move. No pun intended.
