I’m not messing around with this week’s Throwback Thursday. If you have ever seen (and therefore loved) Breakfast at Tiffany’s I doubt it took you more than a nanosecond to identify the photo above. Taken in June 1961, we have George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn with a few other castmates taking a break while on location in New York City. An iconic photograph.
Fred, darling! Let us celebrate a film that has captured hearts for over fifty years with this edition of Look for Less, shall we? Wing out your eyeliner and settle down with your Audrey Hepburn poster for a Breakfast at Tiffany’s look that will make anyone believe you had been making several trips to the powder room.
First things first, the LBD (little black dress). This simple LBD from Target for £17 is the perfect piece to kick things off! Structure, quality…bargain.
One of Holly Golightly‘s many trademarks – kitten heels! <a href=”Styluxe’s Pointed Toe Kitten Heel is on sale for£8.
As Miss Golightly would say, “You could always tell what kind of a person a man thinks you are by the earrings he gives you. I must say, the mind reels.” These Classic Black Cubic Zirconium Studs say style and savvy, obviously, as they are only £7!
With a black-based look, it’s all about the statement jewellery! This multi-strand of black beads and pearls packs a glamourous punch and is only going to set you back £8.
Halloween costumes can be so hard for fashionable types. Unless your costume is Anna Wintour or Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (originality fail), it is sometimes a little difficult to feel haute and stop people from asking ‘what are you?‘ all evening.
Therefore, here is a compilation of fashion forward Halloween costumes that may not leave your peers wondering why stuffing a suit with pillows makes you a dude named Alber Elbaz. View Post
Alberta Ferretti does it again! Some designers seem like they may not bet fully planning the ‘atmosphere’ of their New York Fashion Week shows. For the Spring/Summer Philosophy collection, however, the Gauguin-esque chinoiserie printed carpet did all the work for her. It was print and platform madness with matching conical hats and explosions of colour. Not to mention a Breakfast at Tiffany’s-like tan belted trench with a brand-appropriate printed lining thrown in for good measure. This was a fashion show. View Post
