Yes! Leighton Meester is back on the style circuit. Above, we have the official ad for Vera Wang’s “Lovestruck” fragrance – shot by Carter Smith – which Leighton is the spokesmodel for. The ad is a little bit Pretty Woman and unnecessarily Photoshopped, though brush off-able. C’mon, it’s Leighton.
For the fragrance launch, Meester wore a Vera Wang Pre-Spring 2011 top and pants, Roger Vivier shoes, and Cathy Waterman jewellery.
Later on, she joined Vera Wang to light up the Empire State Building. The landmark was illuminated in red and white to raise awareness about DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center. With ombre hair, Leighton paired a beige Vera Wang Fall/Winter 2011 sleeveless top with a body-lengthening Vera Wang Spring/Summer 2011 floral print skirt. Toffee-coloured Brian Atwood “Debra” slingbacks completed her outfit.
FINALLY – yes, this is all in one day – she attended the DKMS Gala in a Vera Wang Pre-Fall 2011 dress, Cathy Waterman Diamond Leaf Drop Earrings, and the same Brian Atwood heels. Let’s hope she had today off.
Last night, Odette Yustman – or her stylist – put together a red carpet look worth gushing over. This stunning black Versus Fall/Winter 2011 dress knocked ’em out at yesterday’s “Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Party” in Los Angeles. The sexy off-the-shoulder cocktail dress boasted a sheer bodice and was decorated with silver glitter details that should be an enforced LBD requirement.
Supermodel Kate Moss looks impeccable here in a mesmerizing Alexander McQueen gown for the May 2011 cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK. The old muse of Lee McQueen dons the same ruffled organza dress that she wore in the Fall/Winter 2006 Widows of Culloden show (as a hologram).
Last night, New York’s “Mildred Pierce” premiere brought us a stunning Kate Winslet. She opted for a recent runway look by sporting a stretched black, cut-out dot Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2011 dress. Combining such a body-skimming garment with her curvaceous figure and new peroxide hair, you have to wonder why anyone insists on airbrushing the bombshell. Her black and nude strappy heels were also Stella McCartney, and her gold tube clutch was designed by Calvin Klein.
My heart suffered a beautiful death while viewing Elie Saab (also known as the faultless epitome of Parisian chic). The peplum-heavy Fall/Winter 2011 collection featured updated Belle du Jour showpieces, enough red-carpet variety to singularly satisfy E!’s Fashion Police, and a colour palette I would emphatically live in (aubergine dresses that could trigger a panic attack). Paying special attention to the deep plum delights, it is clear that these are the gowns of our generation. See the top five looks below! View Post
