week outfit posts
Now that I have mentally burned* the five outfits I spent four months living in, I have rediscovered the long-lost joy of getting dressed in the morning. So much so I set myself a little challenge to only wear clothes from one brand for a full work week.

A week on, I enjoyed this challenge so much I feel I may have to do it more often. This time, however, let me introduce you to my personal micro wardrobe from WearAll

What I Wore:
(Outfits featured in order of appearance)
1. The Alison Off Shoulder Floral Flared Skater Dress (…which I especially, narcissistically, love for sharing my middle name. This dress received at least one compliment everywhere I visited on the day.)

2. Brooke Plunge Off Shoulder Bardot Jumpsuit and Morgan Oversize Distressed Acid Wash Denim Jacket (The cosiest jumpsuit and jacket in the history of the world).

3. Sophie shirred crop top and Jaden Check Print Cigarette Trousers (I loved this look the most. I actually had back to back meetings this particular day so loved that I could throw a white blazer on when needed and transform something a little revealing to something adorably work-appropriate).

4. Zoey Boyfriend Jeans and Harper Off The Shoulder Gingham Top (I actually loved these pieces individually but couldn’t deal with them together in photographs. Being curvy, each item looks better paired with a tighter or more structured counterpart).

5. Aaliyah Denim Lace-Up Corset 3/4 Sleeve Shirt Dress (Hello, new off-duty staple)

Before flying off to the South of France, I typed myself to the rabbit hole of Boohoo’s ever-alluring skirt selection and fell head over keyboard for this floral-embroidered mesh maxi.

Knowing I could pack very little extra into the suitcase I’d been lugging around for four months, it was the perfect addition to a handful of garments I’d become exceedingly bored with. In the day, it’s a show-stopping poolside cover-up. In the evening, it’s a mosquito-shielding flourish of drama for cosier basics.

J’adore cette jupe.

What I Wore:
The Skirt – The bottom half of Boohoo’s Boutique Ria Embroidered Crop & Skirt Co-ord
The Sunglasses – OH, THE SUNGLASSES! I have wanted a pair of the gold-rimmed Celine CL 41402‘s for ages any found them more than £100 off on SmartBuyGlasses. I have never received the number of daily compliments on an accessory nor, potentially, loved one more.

Look One
Mesh top: The top half, of course
Gingham bikini: Ralph Lauren (similar here)
Shoes: Ella Embroidered Mule

Look Two
The body: Roxy Stripe Cross Front Body

Coming back to London after four months – FOUR MONTHS! – has thrust me into a state of constant celebration. All I want to do is hug long-lost friends ’til they pop, over-caffeinate at all the coffee shops I’ve abused as roaming work spaces, and dress like I’m ready for an impromptu East End rooftop party at the drop of a flat.

It’s good to be back (and wearing skirts that children try to stroke on the Underground), London.

What I Wore:
Weaver Skirt in Disc Sequin White from Motel
Leopard print top from Ganni
Nude ballet flats with a bow (similar here)
Ol’ faithful biker jacket (similar here)

After spending four months out of a suitcase, I had a fresh sartorial itch that needed scratching. The trouble? No matter how much money I was going to spend on new threads, I would have to fork out a decent amount in excess baggage fees to bring them home.

I ended up buying my entire Summer wardrobe for under £100. And the way I managed to do so is so obvious it might actually hurt…

I bought gift cards. While most of us shop what they can afford, we often forget to shop where we have gift cards – Brits alone waste over £1 billion every year on unused or lost gift vouchers – or can’t find what we want in the stores we have them for. Zeek allows users to both buy and sell unwanted gift cards – sometimes up to 70% off their store value.

By simply buying some savvy people’s unwanted gift cards, my 10-piece shopping spree – combined with the sites’ own Summer sales – cost me under £100 in Zeek vouchers.

It’s a no-brainer.

What I Wore:
Satin pleat and lace mix minidress with cut out sleeves from ASOS (through Zeek)
Nude ballet flats with a bow (similar here)

I love short dresses, I love high heels, and I hate them together. At a skyscraping five feet tall, I am able to get away with the combination without looking like a head atop two legs but always feel most comfortable with a more demure thigh to floor measurement.

Thankfully, though y’all know I am usually found in Chelsea boots, these handcrafted kicks from San Antonio Shoemakers (or SAS) have been the answer to all my boot-bored necessities. They are beautifully made, flex with the foot, have a cushioned insole, ‘no bite’ back, and even come in a hue that happens to be the perfect “nude” for my skin tone.

Unquestionably, that’s as good as it gets.

What I Wore:
The Chloe in Champagne from San Antonio Shoemakers
‘Lana’ cat-eye sunglasses from Tom Ford
High neck leopard print
High neck snake print dress (old, similar here)
