Run for cover! China’s taking over (and I like it)! First sign? One of the best worldwide covers of the ever-important month of September. We have a Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin-shot cover for Vogue China featuring the Asian beauties of Du Juan, Sui He, Fei Fei Sun, Liu Wen, Ming Xi, and Shu Pei in Gucci greatness.
After that? A surprising and elegant shoot from fashion photographer Maciej Kucia called “China With Love“. Photographed in Shanghai, the spread features model Lauren Elizabeth Aitken in some incredible gowns by famed bridal designer Wang Ta Chen.
Another absolutely beautiful cover here from i-D magazine’s Pre-Spring set. You’re looking at a winking Liu Wen, Kirsi Pyrhonen, Jeneil Williams, Milou Van Groesen, and Rose Cordero under the lens of fashion photographer Josh Olins.
Fashion photographer Gan is doing retro with a twist for Harpers Bazaar Singapore‘s new spread in conjunction with some stellar styling by Kenneth Goh. The fresh take on your forties pinup – “Beauty World” – is thanks to Burberry Prorsum, Dries Van Noten, Jil Sander, Moschino, Miu Miu, Prada and Fendi Spring/Summer 2011 among others. View Post
Legendary supermodel Gisele Bundchen is the cover girl for next month’s (that’s February 2011, if you’re still drunk from New Years) cover of Vogue China. The beauty is – of course – under the hands of famed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier. It’s the type of cover that both makes you want to give Gisele a cuddle, and then go into as much debt via Prada that you could possibly afford.
The incredible contemporary artist Marina Abramovic is fronting the January issue of her Serbian homeland’s Elle magazine. This red-punched cover was lensed by fashion photographer Dusan Reljin. Notably, the whimsical hair was done by Eddie Casson.
