Last night, Gossip Girl celebrated it’s 100th episode with a party at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. For once, I think both Leighton Meester and Blake Lively hit it out of the red-carpet-park. Leighton wore an ecru Balmain strapless mini dress with a floaty skirt and great front-clasp details. Her Jimmy Choo sandals pulled the look together while keeping all eyes on the beautifully constructed dress. Then we have Blake Lively in a bold dress from Marchesa Spring/Summer 2012. Elaborate embroidery and fringe presents the risk of looking overdressed, but works on Blake’s tall frame and easygoing beauty...
Big spoiler. Of the best kind. Photos of Blair Waldorf’s wedding dress have finally surfaced. Though the Gossip Girl wedding doesn’t look too successful – Runaway Bride, much? – the dress is unbelievably gorgeous, as is Leighton Meester. The fictional Queen of the Upper East Side was set to marry Prince Louis of Monaco in this strapless white wedding gown, which looks a lot like the “Emma” dress by Monique Lhuillier, so we can only assume she is the designer. This week, we have some seasonally appropriate choices for Leighton Meester Style – Gossip Girl was filming winter NYC scenes! On the first day, Miss Meester wore a lovely, belted Diane von Furstenberg ‘Mikhaila’ wool coat, the striking orange Loewe ‘Amazona’ satchel, DKNY floral tights, Badgley Mischka satin pumps, and a soft cream-coloured scarf. Transitioning away from headbands, her character also seems to be on a hat-wearing track… …that continued through to her next ensemble! I’m sure the only way you don’t know about this is if you purposefully avoid the news, but eh, I’m giving my two cents on the ‘Beyonce Fake Pregnancy‘ enchilada. Apparently, some reliable sources (aka everyone’s eyes) saw Beyonce’s baby bump shift and fold in two during an appearance on Sunday Night HD. The alleged prosthetic baby was pretty obvious as a fake. No belly – of that size – has the ability to do that. Even if made of fat. But riddle me this, instead of shouting ‘Beyonce is a Fake!’, might it be worth considering she would wear...
As the latest season of Gossip Girl continues with filming, I am looking forward to seeing more and more of Blair Waldorf‘s stylishly prim ensembles before they hit the small screen. THe latest look (seen above) was comprised of a nude Moschino ruffle pearl tweed jacket, an Alberta Ferretti embellished neck-tie chiffon dress, Roger Vivier platform court heels, and the all-important Marc Jacobs quilted handbag.
