Jewellery organisation is no easy feat. Until I moved into the new house (which you’ll see more of very soon!), my own collection was spread across a mish-mash of boxes, hangers, and table tops.
As soon as I had remedied my organisational woes with a proper jewellery stand, I had the urge to fill the space with extravagant newness.
Introducing…The Bling Rings: the dainty Thomas Sabo ring from Joshua James and S-shaped pearled earrings (geddit?) from QVC. Both became surprise necessities as soon as quickly as the internet led me to them and I have not taken either off since they arrived.
If Luca Luca‘s collection for spring/Summer 2012 was all I could wear this year, I don’t think I would ever be stuck with nothing to wear. With designs that compliment a woman’s curves and vibrant colours incorporated into classic pieces, this has to be one of the most well-rounded collections presented thus far. Key accessories included Ippolita jewellery and headpieces by Ellen Hunter, though the garments were strong enough to speak for themselves. Waist definition, as well as striking limes and blues, were shown in between whites, blacks, prints, jumpsuits, and asymmetrical dresses – yet everything still felt cohesive. Quite a feat. I could see Emmy Rossum or Emma Stone in any of Luca Luca’s looks. View Post
It’s been a while since the last Leighton Meester Style update, hasn’t it? Thankfully, as Gossip Girl Season 5 kicks off later this month (September 26, 8pm on The CW!), our real-life Blair Waldorf has been out and about more often. Most recently, Leighton performed with her band Check in The Dark at the Tiffany’s & Co. boutique during Fashion’s Night Out in New York City. She actress-cum-singer-cum-fashionista opted for an effortless, sky blue, cloud-printed Carven Resort 2012 maxi dress.
She chose to accessorize with ballet flats from Roger Vivier and Tiffany & Co. jewellery – silver, hooped earrings and a matching silver necklace with a star-shaped charm. Brilliantly bohemian yet polished.
Earlier, as the face of Vera Wang’s fragrance “Lovestruck“, she made an appearance the launch of the new scent in a lemon sorbet-coloured, ruched chiffon dress from Vera Wang Lavender Label along with the “Esam” platform pump by Jimmy Choo.
Coco Rocha is really on top of things. Not only has she made a name for herself as a very talented model, but the blogging beauty has taken a huge slice out of the social media and technological cake.
In her latest blog post she says that an article about a new camera called LYTRO caught her eye on Mashable. Why? The ultra-new gadget allows for focusing and zooming after the image has been created. Coco and husband James Conran spread word of their interest in the camera and ended up producing the world’s first fashion editorial shot on a LYTRO. Literally the world’s first interactively editable fashion images. Using the opportunity in the best of ways, Coco also used the photos to offer a sneak peak (seen above) at the jewellery from her collaboration with Senhoa. Favourite.
One of my favourite moments of London Fashion Week S/S 2011 was previewing MariaFrancescaPepe‘s collection. Blending the lines between jewellery and apparel, her interchangeable collection is especially fabulous (even more so in person), exuding an edgy sexiness that still manages to remain ‘appropriate‘. Enjoy a look at the complete collection below, with all lookbook images taken during the preview back during Fashion Week. View Post
