fancy festival
For the collaborative sake of Zalando’s Festival competition, I broke the barriers of festival fashion.

I am a self-professed music freak but have limited patience for showerless hoards of drunks, so jumped at the chance to see Jessie J live as part of Somerset House’s ever-so-civil Summer Series festival.

The location I work myself to the sartorial bone twice a year seemed serendipitous for an an aural shot.

What I Wore:
Anna Field sandals & hat, House of Holland earrngs, Jeepers Peepers sunglasses (all from Zalando!)
White wiggle dress (old)
Chanel handbag
Intelligent Quartz Fly-Back Chronograph watch from Timex (it is my new favourite thing in life)

Zalando is one of those websites I always end up shopping from should I dare open one of their e-mails or linked tweets. Though the products are in the 1000s, a bit of smart searching always lands you a sale deal; one (or two) too good to leave unbasketed.

In this case, it was their festival guide that did the persuading. A girl can never have too many white tees, skinny jeans or shiny boots, AMIRITE?

What I Wore:
Bibi Lou boots in silver (no longer available)
Schiesser Revival vest in white
Just Female black skinny jeans
Mini neon pink leather satchel (handmade)

party dress for daytime
Boy, do I love an underskirt. Though underskirts ooze ‘party dress’ appeal, I love to toughen up ridiculously girly garments with boots and this dress is perfect to do so with. I seem to wear these little boots for most of the day and, for evening, simply trade the boots for heels and throw my hair into a messy updo (in this case, to show off the peter pan collar).

What I Wore:
Chi Chi London Kellie Dress (there are lots of great party styles in LittleBlackDress.co.uk‘s Christmas dresses collection here).
Even&Odd grey ankle boots from Zalando
Cashmere socks (similar here)

With no real purpose to it, I seem to have collected some rather fabulous accessories over the last thirty days. Starting with a hand-brushed bronze Apex at an Angle cuff (both timeless and contemporary) from Bare Collection that I simply couldn’t deny a spot for in my jewellery drawer, I then happened to have undergone an accessories splurge at Zalando. Initially, I was drawn to the strange russet hue of a beautiful ‘orange’ patent bowler handbag from Gianni Chiarini and sealed the deal by compliment-shopping it with a similarly coloured pair of wedged high heel boots from Even & Odd. In reflection, the colours and textures of Morocco seem to have infiltrated my sartorial habits…

Time for a little outfit post before weekend Christmas party chaos commences. For the sake of all that is festive, I couldn’t help but indulge in a few new goodies from Zalando after hours and hours of present scouring. With the addition of a tight black tee under the dress and coat (not pictured), the whole ensemble just about works for Winter. I should mention I also have the warmest legs in England.

(Click for more photos below, as well as a cameo appearance from my little blogger puppy, Waffles.)

What I Wore:
Paprika cocktail dress
Even&Odd beige wedges
Nice Things necklace (no longer online)
Les Néréides gold Le Parfum earrings
Anna Sui sunglasses (a present)
