This is the twenty-four minute behind the scenes video of Karl Lagerfeld’s shoot for the 2011 Pirelli calendar where all of our favourite models (and Julianne Moore?) portray ancient Greek and Roman gods. The kicker? Expansive views of Karl’s Paris studio, the walls of which are filled with so many books I am having mid-earthquake photoshoot fantasies. The calendar itself (where nudity is abundant) is not the tasteless, raunchy mess we have seen in the years previous thanks to – in the words of Abbey Lee Kershaw – “the Einstein of high fashion”. She and other model beauties such as Brad Kroening have a good amount of interview time to swoon over, as well.
