Cannes Collection 2011

Cannes Rachel McAdams Marchesa
Rachel McAdams

Today was the last official day of the Cannes International Film Festival. You know what that means, don’t you? A red carpet report, of course! With over a week of the most well-dressed and stunningly beautiful women of the world congregating in the South of France, I present you with the 12 of the most excellent ensembles.

Our personal favourite has to go to Rachel McAdams at the 2011 “Midnight In Paris” premiere, wearing a red silk organza and tulle Marchesa Fall/Winter 2011 gown. Tres unique romanticism. See the rest of the best below.

Cannes Bar Rafaeli Beaver
Bar Rafaeli

Bar Refaeli in a midnight blue Roberto Cavalli gown on the red carpet for “The Beaver” premiere. The newly-single beauty worked a dramatic open back, cut-out details and 80 karats of Chopard jewels.

Cannes Salma Hayek Gucci
Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek in a strapless, champagne silk georgette gown by Gucci with a silver-beaded bustier, crystals and sequins. She paired it with a satin Gucci clutch at the opening ceremony.

Cannes Fan Bing Bing Tree Life
Fan Bing Bing

Fan Bing Bing here, with her first Oscar – de la Renta, that is – at the “Tree Of Life” premiere. She wore a glamorous lime OdlR Spring/Summer 2011 gown with an origami-folded square neck, accented by soft Cartier jewels, a ‘Heidi braid’, and a black Roger Vivier clutch.

Cannes Zoe Saldana Tree Life
Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana doing Style a la Candy Cane Bustier at the Cannes Film Festival. She wore this long, silk organza Armani Privé gown to the “Tree of Life” premiere with metallic, python and suede heels by Nicholas Kirkwood.

Cannes Gwen Stefani Aids Gala
Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani wearing a black, self-designed L.A.M.B. mermaid gown to amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala. She traded in her signature red lips to match the belt; a fabulous decision.

Cannes Penelope Cruz Pirates
Penelope Cruz

Penelope Cruz stole the show at the “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” premiere wearing a bedazzled, tulle gown by Marchesa for Fall/Winter 2011. She accessorized with subtle jewels from Chopard and a gold Swarovski clutch. It’s all in the details.

Cannes Kirsten Dunst Melancholia
Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst looking more vibrant than ever before in a saffron Chloe day dress with a pleated skirt and ruching for the “Melancholia” photocall. I am seriously in love. Everything is perfect – from her strappy, suede ‘Ontario’ Jimmy Choos to her tiny daisy ring.

Cannes Karolina Kurkova Opening
Karolina Kurkova

Karolina Kurkova was spotted in a 4-seasons-old Armani Prive gown at the Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony, yet looked fresh as can be. This shade of atlantic blue is perfect for her colouring, and the clear Swarovski crystals with the wave motif of sequins is absolutely stunning.

Cannes Cheryl Cole Loreal
Cheryl Cole

Cheryl Cole wore an incredible champagne-sequined, mermaid-hemmed Roberto Cavalli gown to the L’Oreal-sponsored “Habemus Papam” after party.

Cannes Sarah Jessica Parker Wu Xia
Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker mixed things up in a floral-printed Elie Saab Fall/Winter 2011 gown for the “Wu Xia” premiere. A little crepe georgette never hurt anyone, and was expertly complimented by simple diamonds in this case.

Cannes Li Bing Bing Artist
Li Bing Bing

Finally, Li Bing Bing pulled out her High Fashion Princess Leia card in a Georges Chakra Spring/Summer 2011 Couture gown at the premiere for “The Artist“.
