Carrie Underwood looked so incredible at last night’s Country Music Awards, photo-reviewing naturally turned into an occasion for a make-up tutorial. Forever the fake tan and nude lip queen, Carrie and I have different ideas when it comes to beauty, but we both rock very easy-to-do results. (Hand me a red lipstick and mascara, I’m done!)

1. Skin: BB Cream it. Her skin looks lit from within, so any base in a full coverage or matte finish will look overdone. Conceal under the eyes to lift the eye area.
2. Cheeks: Sweep a natural pink tone from the apples of your cheek towards your temples. Apply a highlighter on the top of your cheekbones for an extra dose of sparkle.
3. Eyes: First, take a long-wearing gold eyeshadow and apply it over your entire lid. Using a thin brush, continue the eyeshadow around the inner corner of your eye and lower lash line. Apply a black gel or pencil eyeliner on your waterline and upper lash line, and smudge the line slightly on the outer corner of your eyes with the same brush. Add mega lashes.
4. Lips: Wipe a dab of your BB cream on the lips to wash them out, and apply your shiniest gloss over the top.
