Rihanna Armani Underwear
Skivvies is a great word, isn’t it? Almost on par with underoos. Whichever word you prefer to use for the small pieces of fabric between our clothes and bodies, here are some photos of Rihanna in them. In an Armani underwear campaign shot by Steven Klein for Fall/Winter 2011, the beautiful songstress sports newly chopped and peroxided hair – but not much else. You have to give it to her, the mix of Rihanna’s flawless physique and a Lincoln Continental could sell anyone Armani’s lingerie. View Post

Emporio Armani Ad
Emporio Armani has the right idea using Megan Fox as the ready-to-wear label’s spokesmodel. She emulates the brand’s demographic; the extremely glamorous girl-next-door. There really isn’t much I could suggest from an advertising perspective.

With that said, the reason they are this week’s Fashion Spot (“ads re-imagined“), is down to the lack of great advertising on the accessories side of things. When there is such potential in a product, investing in extraenous advertising is almost guaranteed to elevate a brand further.

Penelope Cruz Red Dress
This week is Cannes Film Festival (a best dressed list is in the making), a week renowned for being full of the latest and greatest in fashion. They have to be pretty peeved that Penelope Cruz has stolen all the style, eh? Last night, she flew solo at the “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” premiere in Munich, Germany while wearing this lustful red Armani PrivĂ© Spring/Summer 2011 gown. Differing from the runway version, the actress took the dress from off-shoulder straps to long sleeved and I’ve never seen a sexier alteration.

Olivia Wilde Golden Globes 2011
The Golden Globes were pretty impressive this year; even the bad dresses were good. Third favourite? Olivia Wilde in Marchesa and Christian Louboutin. Clashing and unapologetic as an ensemble should ever be. Now for first and second! View Post

Natalia Vodianova at Fashions Night Out
Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out was incredible. Though I got to my chosen area of attack very late, I got to see Natalia Vodianova (who resembles walking art and wore a dress by David Koma) – lady of the night – before she stopped at Juicy Couture and the parties for Stella McCartney, Burberry, Armani and before hosting the Naked Heart cocktail party. See some of my night by Blackberry below. View Post
