Broadway

Dry my tears, please, mi amors. This post concludes the photo segment of my New York City adventures. It seems difficult to fully explain my love of this city without digging out some cheesy lyrics, so…

Here are a few musical somethings to get you in that Empire State of Mind.

Because I am off to New York in just over two weeks, my mind has been keeping busy melding ideas in efforts to be a sartorially smart tourist*. I’m simply not the kind of woman to don a visor and a fanny pack (and hope that unless you’ve just time travelled from 1980, you aren’t either). I feel like – from the Shake Shack to the Top of The Rock – the look above is going to be my basic Manhattan uniform. Ease, colour, and a removable layer if the weather calls for it.

* Yes, I’m American. I love ‘playing tourist’.

Carrie Underwood The New Face of Olay Webcast
Carrie Underwood looked flawless yesterday as she was announced as the new face of Olay. Showing up for a webcast to promote Olay’s Challenge What’s Possible campaign launch at Top of the Rock’s 620 Loft & Garden, she wore a Stella McCartney Asymmetric Satin Dress in Nude paired with Lanvin‘s Fall 2010 Curved Heel Pumps.
