I’m not quite sure if I am being misled…but I’m pretty sure I am going to end up looking like Beyonce if I buy H&M‘s £3.99 bikinis. (WHY DOES SHE LOOK SO PERFECT IN NON-DESIGNER CLOTHING.)
One-upping Neil Armstrong by “Standing on The Sun” instead of the moon, this new H&M commercial happens to be the debut of her latest song as well as the debut of the collection she co-designed with the high street brands.
Who run the world?*
Though I’ve been looking for a leather skater skirt for a few months, most of the ones that have caught my eye have been in excess of £100. Those closer to my budget, of course, looked like PVC trash bags or had just enough material to cover my womanhood. Not the look I’m going for.
Praise River Island (!) – they produced this wine-coloured leather skater for £35. Sun’s out, legs out.
What I Wore: Leather skirt from River Island (my next choice, also from River Island), blue glitter top from H&M (white version here), blue chained cut-out heels (handmade), and sapphire ring from Jian London.
Versace for H&M
This week, the Versace x H&M
lookbook was finally released. Thankfully, it did not disappoint in any way! The 50-piece collection
, skirts, leggings
, scarves, handbags, shoes, belts, menswear
, jewelry, and even homeware. Impressively, many of the prints, products and palettes seem to have been drawn almost straight from the archives
. Value for money, in my eyes!
That said, it isn’t going to translate as ‘value‘ if we go out and buy everything at once (…note to self). Above, I have compiled some of my favourite pieces that I believe will work both alltogether and also add something special to many outfits when separated. Characteristic Versace: on the cheap (I can’t wait)!
The lovely Turkish blog Zet Fashion won a competition to showcase the new Lanvin for H&M trailer and is sweetly ecstatic about it. In the new trailer, a stand in for Alber Elbaz works frantically to create some sketches – though Elbaz makes an appearance, as well. The designs aren’t clear but the trailer itself is like a sartorial version of The Shining.
