Oh, hello there. Welcome to Confession Hour. For the first round of ‘I don’t know why I share things like this’, I’m here to admit – coming up to ten years ago – I was obsessed with the MTV show ‘Rich Girls’. Yes, the show that was a less-scripted, New York version of The Hills, which concentrated on the ‘fabulous lives’ of Tommy Hilfiger’s daughter Ally Hilfiger and her best friend Jaime Lee Gleicher. While Jamie faded into the distance, Ally has matured into a wonderful woman, and has followed in Padre Fantastico’s well-soled footsteps with her own line, NAHM (with Nary Manivong). The composition of the collection is very promising, with an ever-obvious ‘Fall/Winter’ colour palette and intrinsic homage. One thing is for sure, when the top five looks below have all made it into my ‘must have‘ folder, things are looking tres bon. View Post
The best friend and I are both out-of-the-closet Burberry junkies. Christopher Bailey is the man to thank for this; the man who – for Spring/Summer 2011 – smartly took Thomas Burberry‘s designs from the early 1900s as his inspiration point. The classic English rose Burberry girls had vanished, and in their place were “Heritage” biker chicks with buckets of attitude. We’re going to be seeing a lot of studded and spiked jackets come next year. With his own take on the Seventies trend that basically is this season, he wrapped the music with “Pinball Wizard” by The Who. Then 16-year-old Nina Porter stumbled straight out of her stilettos to close. London Fashion Week victim. View Post
Eva Longoria is the BFF of Victoria Beckham. The Miley to her Mandy. The Princess Sparkles to her Share Bear. (Enough.) Naturally, she did what every best friend does and promoted her Posh pal’s fashion label by wearing one of her dresses to the London launch of her new fragrance – “Eva” – last night.
Because she couldn’t be there, Beckham tweeted that her fabulous friend looked fabulous in her dress:
@evalongoria looking stunning in a dress from my fall collection at the launch of her new fragrance today in London.x VB
