Last night, Gossip Girl celebrated it’s 100th episode with a party at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. For once, I think both Leighton Meester and Blake Lively hit it out of the red-carpet-park.
Leighton wore an ecru Balmain strapless mini dress with a floaty skirt and great front-clasp details. Her Jimmy Choo sandals pulled the look together while keeping all eyes on the beautifully constructed dress.
Then we have Blake Lively in a bold dress from Marchesa Spring/Summer 2012. Elaborate embroidery and fringe presents the risk of looking overdressed, but works on Blake’s tall frame and easygoing beauty aesthetic. Paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Versace’s crystal embellished platform d’Orsay sandals, she looked absolutely beautiful.
…of herself, according to Lively’s interview in the July issue of Glamour US with Florence Welch. On the cover of the monthly, Blake wears a Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2011 look – the next best thing to nude? Part of the the interview and the full photo spread – featuring my dream wardrobe – is below! View Post
How did Blake Lively escape from the sea? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen her in my Disney favourite. Nevertheless, the new red hair looks absolutely gorgeous on the bombshell. Debuted last night at the party for the “Time 100 List“, she swapped her bright blonde locks for these fiery curls and paired the change with a mermaid-esque, seafoam Zuhair Murad gown. The dress was later stepped on by Patrick McMullan, causing the train to rip and a ushering a necessary safety-pin fix courtesy of Blake!
With her brunette dye job for “Green Lantern“, sunny Gossip Girl locks as Serena van der Woodsen, then this image change, how does she keep such phenomenal tresses?
Over the weekend, Gossip Girl fashionista Blake Lively trekked to Paris to unveil her first designer campaign for Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag collection. The ads – which were captured by Chanel‘s incredible creative director Karl Lagerfeld – were shot in Paris’ historic Rue Cambon, and will all be revealed in the next fortnight. Wait and watch your wishlist rack up.
What a luckless Lively. Even though Blake has been Anna Wintour‘s cover model for three issues this year – including Vogue’s Best Dressed supplement – she is truly not bringing in the dineros. Audit Bureau of Circulations has confirmed that Blake Lively‘s June Vogue cover was the third worst-selling issue of the year and her Esquire cover was the worst-seller of the year. ABC says Taylor Swift wasn’t doing much better, with newsstand sales for her April Elle cover running 60,000 less than average, her November Glamour cover being their second-worst selling issue of the year, and July’s Marie Claire as the magazine’s third worst-selling issue.
Who is magazine gold? Lady Gaga. (Vogue has apparently taken note, as she will be their March cover girl).
