As I try to get in Fashion Week Mindset for next week’s bi-annual festivities, I have naturally slipped into a bit of a love affair with Carven. This season, their pieces feel candy-inspired without being in-your-face sickly sweet. Instead of bubblegum colours we’re talking candy wrappers and pick and mix colour blends in ladylike silhouettes. It is true lust, my friends.

Carven SS12
Listen up, girly girls! The only collection you need to invest in for Spring/summer 2012. Being one of my favourite brands – especially in the shopability stakes – I have huge expectations for Carven each and every season.

Of course, they haven’t disappointed. Designer Guillaume Henry has mastered and consistently curated the epitome of ‘The Pretty Parisian‘ in a welcoming and charming manner. Luxe short suits, peter pan collars, a-line offerings, buttery leather dresses, and trash-less midriffs bared, anyone?

Everyoneobviously. ;D View Post

Leighton Meester Bangs
Leighton Meester has emerged from the shadows! Hooray! Snapped in a those few media-perfect moments between the Ritz Hotel in New York and her next destination, she wore a floral-print ruched dress by Carven, strappy brown shoes by Yves Saint Laurent, and a tote bag by Mulberry. Not only was the fashion on key, but her newly chopped locks (and bangs!) are sure to add a kickass element to next season’s Blair Waldorf.
