Vogue UK‘s colourful December 2011 cover is my favourite of theirs, in 2011 retrospective. Just look at it! Not only do we have supermodel Gisele Bundchen styled to stun (thanks to Lucinda Chambers), but the rest of the ‘cast’ includes photographer Mario Testino, make-up artist Linda Cantello, and gorgeous hair expertise of Oribe.
Finally, a designer has introduced the microscopic dresses that seize my usual Fall/Winter wardrobe. Sass & Bide not only improved and expanded on their typical Amazonian fair, but had a colourful and razzle-dazzle guise. For those who choose not to brave the mini styles, no worries; endless, romantic maxi lengths also found their way to the runway. See the top five looks below! View Post
Carolina Herrera has just confirmed that she knows how to work the neck and shoulders of a woman, but her talent doesn’t falter from there. This is a woman who feels amorous towards details. Not only were gloves and belts embroidered for her Fall/Winter 2011 show, but she even embroidered a gown to create a colourful, wearable oil slick. Every garment’s pigments were atypical; gunmetal, water, rust, shine, it was all a pleasure to witness. View Post
