In all honesty, Georges Chakra is one of my favourites; his one-off designs for beautiful women like Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, and Beyoncé being the best example of his raw talent. Unfortunately, for New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011, we were given a shapeless lime evening dress with a horrible bustline that I never want to see again.
It definitely wasn’t all bad. Some of the dresses were phenomenal, innovative, and had the attention to detail that we all love Chakra for (see metallic brown dress below). Some of the others? Destined for the prom dress sale rack. View Post

The finale dress obviously the icing on the cake with volume, balloon hems, and gargantuan, asymmetrically draped tulle clouds with rough raw edges. View Post
