While I love hosting competitions for you guys (and have one coming up very soon), I also love to share great competitions that you may not have stumbled across already! One I am currently pining to win is the Motilo competition: you have a chance to win a £2000 shopping spree towards any items at the Motilo Shop!
That is essentially a free designer wardrobe. A very well-curated designer wardrobe. Alexander McQueen, Peter Pilotto, Givenchy, Jonathan Saunders, Marni…if I don’t win it, I definitely want one of my readers to!
In order to enter, all you have to do is follow @Motilo and @MrsMotilo on Twitter (and you can find more info here)!
The competition closes on the 13th of August, 2012. Good luck, mi amors!
This week’s Outfit of The Week is inspired by the gorgeous Bunny Ring from Natasha Zinko (seen above). I love mixing playful elements with impeccable quality and design, so have thrown in the Isabel Marant Linka curly lambskin gilet over a multicolour floral print dress by Mary Katrantzou. Both items have been tied tight under a flower-appliquéd suede belt from Etro.
Because there is go much going on, the accessories need to be quite simple. In talons? The beige leather Nightingale from Givenchy. On toes? Metallic leather wedge sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti. Perfection.
Check out the entire look on Motilo!
A round of applause to Elle Brasil for creating one of the most beautiful covers this year, and pushing the envelope by making a coverstar out of the beautiful transgender model, Lea T. Their December cover – photographed by Fábio Bartelt – creates a double-wow with some gorgeous Givenchy pieces which lead into a simplistic black and white spread. View Post
Flare magazine has stood up and got me to notice them. In reference to their spread, “Your Majesty“, for their November 2011 issue…all I can say is “wow”. I would not change a thing about these Chris Nicholls photographs. Fashion stylist Fiona Green has used models Emily Fox, Finlay Moore and ‘Dani’ brilliantly, displaying an aristocracy, romanticism, and affluence that reads frictionlessly. Using a bold Comme des Garcons print on a little girl? Genius. With a healthy dose of Givenchy and some exaggerated proportions, Flare can enjoy this month’s very fashionable reign. View Post
I am totally and completely blown away by this editorial. Mariacarla Boscono, Lea T, Saskia de Brauw and Chris Moore are setting hearts on fire in Dazed & Confused‘s October 2011 cover story. In “Ex Stasis” – lens by Matthew Stone and styled by Katy England – we are essentially being force-fed Givenchy in the most beautiful way imaginable. Riccardo Tisci is going to be a happy fellow.
