Versace for H&M
This week, the Versace x H&M lookbook was finally released. Thankfully, it did not disappoint in any way! The 50-piece collection features dresses, skirts, leggings, scarves, handbags, shoes, belts, menswear, jewelry, and even homeware. Impressively, many of the prints, products and palettes seem to have been drawn almost straight from the archives. Value for money, in my eyes! That said, it isn’t going to translate as ‘value‘ if we go out and buy everything at once (…note to self). Above, I have compiled some of my favourite pieces that I believe will work both alltogether and also add something special...
EXCLUSIVE! Lanvin / H and M Fashion Show!
OH MY GOD. Natasha Poly! Alber Elbaz!...
Alber Elbaz, You Tease!
The lovely Turkish blog Zet Fashion won a competition to showcase the new Lanvin for H&M trailer and is sweetly ecstatic about it. In the new trailer, a stand in for Alber Elbaz works frantically to create some sketches – though Elbaz makes an appearance, as well. The designs aren’t clear but the trailer itself is like a sartorial version of The Shining. For your time, oogle over the “making of” video with Natasha Poly below....
Low-Cost Lanvin, Thanks H&M!
Swedish megabrand H&M is partnering with Lanvin‘s Alber Elbaz (My Queen!) for its next designer collaboration. Not 48 hours ago, everyone in Fashion Land were we participating in a highly produced guessing game after seeing videos of fabulous people with obscured faces and heavy accents talking about fashion. Turns out, those clips were just a carefully planned bout of misdirection. And to that, we can only say touché. And freak out. A lot. CHEAP LANVIN. CHEAP LANVIN! Weirdly, last March, Elbaz told The New Yorker that a lower-priced line would ruin what he was trying to achieve at Lanvin. “I...
Dresses Cheaper than Coffee
This dress is $4.95. No joke. Jennifer Uglialoro, H&M’s PR Director, said, “This season, we bumped up the fashion and lowered the prices even more. It’s the same business concept we’ve had for over 60 years, but this season we’re focused even more on a lower price. We’re very cost-conscious; for fall you’ll be seeing trench coats for $20.“ How is this possible you ask? “We have over 2,000 stores in 37 countries,” Uglialoro said. “This provides high volume and there is no middleman. We have our own team of over 100 in-house designers and we do all our own...
