Dakota Fanning Oh Lola
Remember Dakota Fanning‘s brief stint as ambassador for Marc Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2007 collection? The MJ team did, having just hired Juergen Teller (who worked on the ’07 campaign) to shoot the 17-year-old actress for the “Oh Lola” fragrance ad. Our ‘child actress‘ is all grown up!

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2011
Sex sells, and Louis Vuitton just reminded us. With a Fall/Winter collection full of voluptuous silhouettes, handcuffs (attaching eighteen-carat gold handbags to model’s wrists), and high waisted lingerie boy shorts – it was clear that “fashion” and “fetish” are interchangable for Marc Jacobs. With such straightforward sexuality leaking out of the set’s elevators, the garments remained committed to Vuitton sophistication – it’s obviously time we stopped wearing pants, ladies. The show also featured the best casting of the season – Kate Moss (who closed the show, smoking), Raquel Zimmerman, Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta and more. See the top five looks below! View Post

Gucci Fall Winter 2011
Gucci owes a lot to designer Frida Giannini. It is strange and beautiful that the 1970s suiting could procure such a seamless Carmen Sandiego semblance. The well-dressed women of future Fall fashion are going to love the pussy bow ties and rich hues a la Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011. I could try and sum it up as ‘Gangster Bohemia’, but the Faye Dunaway inspiration made it feel to enigmatic to be categorized. See the top five looks below! View Post

Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall Winter 2011
Marc by Marc Jacobs latched onto the ever-present Seventies trend from Spring/Summer 2011 and wrapped it in a bow. Down for the disco era? With combinations of materials like metallic copper and leather/leopard print and anise-brown velvet, you have the makings of a stunning retro wardrobe, presented down a high school gymnasium-type runway with coloured tape and battered birch-wood. A nod to Marc Jacobs high school era, presumably. Another superb digest for every occasion. See the top five looks below! View Post

Leighton Meester Marc Jacobs
Leighton Meester – now the girl who you would never wanted as your college roommate – turned up at the ever glorious Marc Jacobs show, sitting front row. The bed-headed beauty wore a pair of Christian Louboutin Salsbourg suede sandals with a seventies Spring/Summer 2011 Marc Jacobs dress, which gave the look a Woodstock edge.
