boden colourblock
One thing I love about vintage-inspired pieces as that they usually find a way to work in both Winter and Summer – you know, “transitional dressing”. This dress, in particular, felt equal parts ‘Mad Men’ and colourblocking-friendly when I spotted it hidden in Boden’s women’s clothing section (probably something to do with their huge promo of colourblocking knitwear). By happenstance, the dress arrived with a big dose of sunshine and another package featuring this unbelievable Shabana Khan necklace. Pink lip, neon shoes…colourblock sorted.

What I Wore:
Wardour dress, Boden. Nicole necklace, Shabana Khan. Neon green heels, Nelly.

bodycon dress
The thing about body con (aka body conscious) dresses is…you have to be body con (aka body confident) to wear them. With barely a molecule between skin and dress, I don’t think I could dare to wear one to a dinner party (because hey, I like to eat – food babies happen).

On the flip side, because I have recently been on a balls-to-the-wall health and fitness kick, I would almost opt to wear a body con dress every day.

I know I will a) never have the body of Miranda Kerr and b) always have a curvy bum and hips, but when I see my strength and endurance on an upward trajectory it makes me want to celebrate my efforts. Life is too short to not get a little body con.

Shop the Look: handmade dress (similar here) and neon green heels (Nelly.com – I am sincerely obsessed with them).
