I rarely make lists, I never check them twice, but I have felt rather inclined to compile a Christmas list this year. I can only assume Santa is a little too busy to worry about giving me thousands and thousands of pounds worth of gifts, but – if anything – a Christmas list is a great way to prioritize the things you would like to work for (and things that you would never have the balls to buy yourself, ahem-Vitamix-ahem).
The Christmas List:
Macbook Air (and a thin case, so I don’t destroy it immediately)
A white leather chaise lounge
Bow Bow sandals by Christian Louboutin
Tri zip Jealous satchel by Rebecca Minkoff
Garment steamer (for easier styling!)
Macadamia Repair Mask
The Vitamix Total Nutrition Center
Agathe Chandelier by Occa Maison
What is on your list?
Though I am a shoe addict on every level, one thing I prefer about handbags is their power to completely change a ‘look’ from one thing to another. I was recently browsing through gazillions of handbags on House of Fraser’s online store in preparation for a shoot and kept fixating on the idea of multi-styling a simple white dress. Whether you whip out a casual satchel or opt for a streamlined clutch, choosing a handbag as your focal point against is one of the simplest ways to define a single-hued ensemble.
Shop The Look (left to right, top to bottom):
1. Zatchels neon orange cross-body.
2. Ted Baker Audree.
3. Rick Owens belted jersey dress.
4. Lulu Guinness large Edith shopping tote.
5. Zatchels classic brown satchel.

Because I am off to New York in just over two weeks, my mind has been keeping busy melding ideas in efforts to be a sartorially smart tourist*. I’m simply not the kind of woman to don a visor and a fanny pack (and hope that unless you’ve just time travelled from 1980, you aren’t either). I feel like – from the Shake Shack to the Top of The Rock – the look above is going to be my basic Manhattan uniform. Ease, colour, and a removable layer if the weather calls for it.
