A/W 2012 was one of my favourite ‘model seasons’ to date. Mixed in with the supers were a plethora of up-and-coming beauties: from Zuzanna Bijoch (above) to the i-D cover model Lina Zhang, there was a lot of fabulous werk happening in New York, London, Paris and Milan. One model even walked 73 shows! (See below)

Or should I say Septiembre? Whatever language I say it in, this >Vogue Mexico cover is definitely my favourite of September 2011 (though it’s actually part of a three page gatefold). Fashion stylist Sarah Gore Reeves put top model Isabeli Fontana in one of my favourite dresses from Louis Vuitton‘s Fall/Winter 2011 collection. The killer compilation of talent was further loaded by Marcin Tyszka on lens and John Paul Tran on art direction.
Top model (not the Tyra-related version) and Victoria’s Secret Angel Erin Heatherton has my favourite cover of Elle Serbia thus far. She was shot by Enrique Badulescu for the August 2011 issue wearing one of Jil Sander‘s Spring/Summer 2011 collection skirts…and that skirt only. See the uncensored version below, you cheeky monkey. Though the new season of Gossip Girl premiere kicks off in the middle of Fashion Week, I highly suggest you set your DVRs and make time to watch the September 13th season premiere. On top of fashion appearances from Meredith Melling Burke and Hamish Bowles, a top model has been confirmed to receive a bit of air time with the GG crew – Karlie Kloss!
The Vogue darling will play herself, popping up during a meeting with characters Lily Van Der Woodsen and Eleanor Waldorf for Fashion’s Night Out – even delivering a line! She has the Blair Waldorf bitch face down to an art already – maybe this will inspire some more model appearances in future episodes.
Though you may know Kirsty Hume for her long, healthy blonde locks, for the latest Agent Provocateur campaign she has bright orange hair a la her 2008 shoot with V Magazine seen above.
Two years later, Kirsty is starring stars as Betty Sue, boldly showing off the lingerie brand’s latest offerings while taking inspiration from female protagonists from late 20th century films. Agent Provocateur’s Creative Director, Sarah Shotton, explains the Kirsty appeal, saying, “Kirsty became a top model in the 1990s. She represents our perfect woman, a woman with a family that oozes unbelievable intelligence, sensuality, personality and confidence. She has a film noir, feline quality to her that I felt had a brilliant synergy with Agent Provocateur.”
