Before flying off to the South of France, I typed myself to the rabbit hole of Boohoo’s ever-alluring skirt selection and fell head over keyboard for this floral-embroidered mesh maxi.
Knowing I could pack very little extra into the suitcase I’d been lugging around for four months, it was the perfect addition to a handful of garments I’d become exceedingly bored with. In the day, it’s a show-stopping poolside cover-up. In the evening, it’s a mosquito-shielding flourish of drama for cosier basics.
J’adore cette jupe.
What I Wore:
The Skirt – The bottom half of Boohoo’s Boutique Ria Embroidered Crop & Skirt Co-ord
The Sunglasses – OH, THE SUNGLASSES! I have wanted a pair of the gold-rimmed Celine CL 41402‘s for ages any found them more than £100 off on SmartBuyGlasses. I have never received the number of daily compliments on an accessory nor, potentially, loved one more.

Look Two –
The body: Roxy Stripe Cross Front Body
The dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum are some of my oldest friends.
Having not seen them in a few years, I threw on my Monday best (an impossibly easy and tactile combination of pyjama silk, soft faux suede and vintage leather) to say hello before an evening of work events.
My friends were, naturally, impressed as ever.
What I Wore:
Silk GANT Rugger PJ shirt from GANT
Ava lazer-cut suedette zip-front skirt from Boohoo
Weekender watch from Timex
Socks from Monki (similar here)
Vintage leather boots (similar here)
Handbag from Kenneth Cole
There was actually a slice of time to get in front of my camera on Day Two. Woo! Prepare for a white out.
What I Wore:
Clutch, Kzeniya (similar here). Dress, Forever 21 (not online). Jacket, Boohoo. Shoes, Christian Louboutin (similar here).
Something strange happens around this time each year when both existing and new personal styling clients seem to lose all sense of direction in the annual search for a coat. With the limitless range of styles on offer and no idea when it is going to change from chilly to f%!k, a lot of women find it difficult to justify a trend-driven coat or jacket.
Thankfully – with tag hidden – I can convince even the most discerning labelholics to throw an inexpensive coat in the mix. This season, boohoo.com have proved to be very popular by delivering more than their fair share of peplums, sequins, and contrast sleeves to keep needy bodies and wallets happy. Heads up (cards out)!
