As previously mentioned, D&G‘s Spring/Summer 2012 collection was the final collection for the brand. Moment of silence…
…over. Time to get happy and excited about Domenico and Stefano’s designs integrating into Dolce & Gabbana! As a goodbye kiss, the designers pulled scarf prints from their own back catalog and combined them with crests, medallions, polka dots, flowers, butterflies and more. Like a lot of my favourite collections this season, the entire show was frosted in prints.
Whether the look was glamorous, eclectic, or a mix of the two, I am positive that every single one of these pieces are going to be collector’s items. Save me some minaudières, satin print wedges and gold gladiator flats, y’all. View Post
I always loved Alphabet Soup. My apparent blood brothers – Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce – look they they do, too. For Fall/Winter 2011’s D&G show, roughly 100 alphabet-inspired separates were asking us to spare a fashionable vowel. The collection carefully reflected the super style soundtrack – Madonna’s “Vogue”. It was stupendous, neon elaborance at it’s best. See the top five looks below! View Post
D&G are relentless in regards to good campaigns. While their Spring/Summer 2011 offerings didn’t make the top of my list, I just can’t deny them a great campaign. Models Mariana Idźkowska, Auguste Abeliunaite, Julia Turenkova, Keke Lindgard, Jessica Clarke, Simon Nessman, Alex Cunha, and Tobias Sorensen are caught in the lens and lens flare of Mario Testino among a luscious frame of florals. Just gorgeous. View Post
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana threw a garden party for the history books at Milan Fashion Week. With a trellised runway, D&G models wore equally floral designs while walking to the beat of Hurts’ “Wonderful Life“. Being their ‘younger’ line, the appropriately put on a display of frisky bubble shorts, gingham headscarfs, strapless rompers and undisciplined prints. As they duo were inspired by Snow White, even she and her seven dwarves did “Designer Disney” by showing up on some of the tanks and tees. God, I love them. View Post
