Oddly enough, the same day I made a note to draft a “Cruella de Vil-inspired fashion post”, this beautiful shooot from Tatler Russia ended up in my inbox! Using Monica Bellucci as a modern Cruella of sorts, Francesco Escalar‘s photos for “Итальянка в законе“perfectly outline the fiction brought to reality. A hint of danger mixed with major excess (thanks in large part to the fashion styling of Anya Ziourova)....
It is rare to find impeccable fashion shown with a sense of humour, which is why I have fallen in love with “Remake Couture” in L’Officiel October 2011. Definitely one of my favourite spreads of the year. Marie José Jalou‘s fashion styling is magnificent, and Jean-Daniel Lorieux was the perfect choice to snap up Tanya Dziahileva‘s – supremely underrated – beauty. “Emma W, Carmen, and Charlotte” also feature in diverse, Ugly Stepsister-esque roles with perfection. Right-click, set as background....
While model-on-white can be incredibly boring, photographer Zee Nunes has managed to ‘capture the light’ (ooh, the light!) so well that the photos on offer for the November 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Brasil have become extraordinarily dynamic. Thanks, in large part, to the fashion styling of Renata Correa, I simply can’t take my eyes off of Shirley Mallmann. Fashion power....
It seems pretty strange that though I don’t watch The Only Way Is Essex, as soon as I had received the invitation the Jessica Wright‘s boutique launch, I knew who she was. As one of the more fashion-forward and sweet-natured cast members of ‘TOWIE’ (as judged by her media representation), I was very intrigued to see what her boutique ‘With Love, Jessica‘ had in store. It was Jessica to a tee. The lingerie boutique not only features some of the girliest, sweetly seductive undergarments around (from Caprice, Melissa Odabash, Alexis Smith, etc), but it also showcased her brand new clothing...
First Marilyn Monroe came back to life to shoot a Dior commercial, and now she’s on the cover of Vogue? That is either some very impressive CGI frame work or actress Michelle Williams dressed up to channel her Marilyn Monroe best on the cover of the fashion bible. (Clue: it’s Michelle Williams). The impactful photo was taken by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz for the October 2011 issue to promote Michelle’s upcoming film, “My Week With Marilyn“....
