Emanuel Ungaro PFW Runway Bambi Northwood-Blyth
Giles Deacon is having one hell of a season, now adding an incredible first show with French label Emanuel Ungaro to his repertoire. At the Serre du Parc Andre Citroen in Paris’ 15th arrondissement, his maribou-trimmed collection was shown in an explosive garden setting that embodied all of Giles’ va-va-voom and tongue-in-cheek feminine predecession. Anna Dello Russo even got in on the action as a model; sharing the spotlight with a stuffed lamb (of the never-breathing variety) named Funbungo. Vivienne Westwood Red Label LFW Runway
When it comes to Vivienne Westwood I am never sure what to expect. She is a woman who doesn’t follow trends nor does she like to set them – it just so happens she does. Her Red Label show at London Fashion Week featured everything from an androgynous well-tailored suit to a flowing, feminine dress. Our Lady Vivienne made sure she packed her show with, it seems, whatever she felt like creating. Typical “Anarchy Design” with some welcome restraint as she unexpectedly embraced the lady-like craze.
