I don’t often buy new handbags, but with my trademark vintage box bag in need of a little TLC and a trip to New York coming up (not a prime time for handbag , it was time.
Not wanting to waste pesos on an investment bag in a rush, I was looking for something structured, neutral, secure, and spacious enough to tote my monster camera around. You may not believe in love at first sight, but as soon as this cream oversized padlock bag was in view, I knew I had found ‘The One’.
Mischa Barton‘s handbags leave a lot to be desired. They are quasi-fashionable with no real pièce de résistance. You can imagine my absent excitement when hearing that the twenty-four year old tabloid favourite has decided to expand her ‘collection’ into a full clothing line. Believing fashion should be affordable, the garments will be produced for teenagers/twenty-somethings who want to look good on a budget. While Mischa is genetically blessed and can sometimes pull together absolutely phenomenal style, her dress sense has been known to runs into unflattering and tasteless territory. I have my fingers crossed for you, Marissa Cooper (RIP).
The fashion force Catherine Malandrino is launching a Malandrino Capsule Collection for Lacoste! The first released image above looks stunning. In the coolest related tidbit, she’s even created a new logo just for the collection made up of two kissing crocodiles, one green and one yellow! There will even be shoes and handbags in the collection.
“As a French woman, I was very honored when they first approached me. Lacoste was so much a part of my childhood, too. It is still the epitome of class and joie de vivre that is linked to Lacoste,” Malandrino told WWD.
Look out for the collection this April in Malandrino and Lacoste stores.
Leitmotiv for Furla Wizard of Oz collection frame satchels
Leitmotiv and Furla collaborated on another handbags and accessories collection. Continuing the line of abstract illustrations, this one takes us on Dorothy’s journey through the Land of Oz. The result? A colorful selection of totes, frame satchels (a prominent trend this fall), printed umbrellas, leather gloves and even a watch, displaying the Land of Oz in all its glory – it’s kind of nostalgic and wonderful.
The collection ‘Leitmovitv for Furla Talent Hub’ will be launched on September 10, during Fashion’s night Out. The price range for the handbags will be at $245 to $345. View Post
