Moschino SS12
While the fan-shaped invitation to the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Moschino hinted at a flamenco feel, the actual garments were executed with vast improvements to my expectations (a good thing!). Instead of tiered, overdone ‘costumes‘, Moschino (via the styling of Anna Dello Russo) pulled out gold bell-embelllished toreador jackets, richly embroidered mini dresses, ruffles and petticoats to compliment beautiful lace work, high-waisted trousers, and even gorgeous monteras (the traditional hat worn by a Matador).

It was a theme translated with indisputable expertise, as many of the items already have me compiling my “Moschino Fund“; a super-colourful flower-packed black leather jacket covered emblazoned with the slogan ‘Make Up Not War‘, in particular. Muy bien. View Post

Leighton Meester On The Set Of 'Gossip Girl'
As the latest season of Gossip Girl continues with filming, I am looking forward to seeing more and more of Blair Waldorf‘s stylishly prim ensembles before they hit the small screen. THe latest look (seen above) was comprised of a nude Moschino ruffle pearl tweed jacket, an Alberta Ferretti embellished neck-tie chiffon dress, Roger Vivier platform court heels, and the all-important Marc Jacobs quilted handbag.

Leighton Meester Bangs

My favourite look of the week, however, comes from Leighton Meester when she attended the “HTC Serves Up NYC” product launch event at the Highline Stages in New York City.

Not only did Leighton wear the very first red carpet appearance of Marios Schwab‘s Resort 2012 collection (the long-sleeved black dress with the aquatic graphic-print skirt), but she also wore the Burberry Prorsum Resort 2012 tribal heels that showed up on the runway at London Fashion Week just this past Monday! Oh, closet lust, you are my inevitable downfall.

Moschino Cheap and Chic Fall Winter 2011
It is clear-cut: Moschino Cheap & Chic designer Rossella Jardini deposits her most whimsical talents at their brainstation. It is so restorative to see a collection like this among a slew of unfathomable black. Inspired by the world’s fashion capitals – New York, London, Milan, and Paris – there were tasteful translations seen in the colours of the cities, figurative landmark prints, and tartan that didn’t make me want to vomit. The styling was attenuate, and secured Jardini’s star among the brightest. See the top five looks below! View Post

Moschino Fall Winter 2011
Moschino worships menswear for the XX chromosome according to their Fall/Winter 2011 show. Inspired by “the fashionable crowd“, there was a heavy emphasis on the body of an impeccably-dressed, curvy woman. While the collection was not as brazen as before, the tuxedo, riding pant, and top hat interjections contributed to the brand’s cheeky legacy. See the top five looks below! View Post

Beauty World Gan Harpers Bazaar
