I wear jeans about once a year. It’s not that I have an issue with them (quite the contrary, I think they’re a classic component of any chic closet), I am simply too sleepy to put anything more than a dress together in the morning.

When I started to pack for a beautiful wedding in the Cotswolds, it seemed a great time to throw a pair on in an ode to smart packing (1 extra shirt and dress means nada to carry!) and kick it old school. As a cherry on top, I got a beautiful blow dry from Rush Kentish Town before hopping on the train and my stylish created two mini victory rolls as a vintage nod that would hold more bounce for the following day’s celebrations.

Max prep. Max chill. Max annual denim.

What I Wore:

One of my favourite things about moving is rediscovering my wardrobe. Especially the things that never end up in my weekly dress-reliant rotation. The faux fur gilets, the suede shoes, the jeans.

After a week of box-hauling and inevitable yet unforeseen expenses, I hopped out of the shower and straight to the wardrobe to shake things up from the norm; untamed hair, that ‘difficult’ wardrobe item that never seems right for the day’s occasions in the morning, and a wine-phobic pair of white jeans that managed to survive the day.

What I Wore:
White skinny jeans from Paige
Faux fur gilet (I’ve had for three years! Similar here)
Gold heel boots (similar here)

thigh high boots
If you’ve paid a shred of attention to these outfit posts over the years you’d know that bare legs are as much part of my style as retro-inspired dresses. In fact, I’ve earned a reputation for making my friends and colleagues second hand frozen from my lack of legwear as the temperatures drop.

The best solution for all involved? Some truly glorious thigh high boots.

What I Wore:
Sienna snake stiletto pointed over the knee boots
Megan McKenna button-embellished longline blazer dress in Wine

The current consuming insanity of life has left me playing an unintentional game of sartorial apathy almost every morning.

It’s all turned a little “insert dress here” and it has made me feel a little less me.

To combat the unwelcome feels, I took my first night off in over six weeks, dyed my hair green (temporarily!), laid out an outfit that made me feel Lela AF, and popped my favourite jewelry in my bag for my fated morning haze.

This jewelry brain hack has become part of my daily routine since discovering Centime’s coordinates jewelry (you can pop your chosen GPS coordinates – ie your wedding venue – onto their pretty little pieces). Couples options with hidden inside-ring messages and all.

(Shut up! YOU’RE sentimental!)

What clothes or accessories make you feel your you-est?
