I am a little bit of a Jessica Stam stan. When I saw this photo pop up on my screen, I literally eep-ed. Apart from Tyra Banks and Christie Brinkley, this is the first supermodel – that I can recall – to become a “CoverGirl“, and she’s doing it with all sorts of Stam-Specific Beauty.
Get that coin, girl.
I have raved and raved about Jessica Stam for years. Almost ten years, actually, from her fresh-faced entrance into the industry as Steven Meisel‘s muse. The Canadian model is a fashion fixture with one of the most striking faces working today.
Lucky for us? One of my favourite websites, Into The Gloss, delved into Stam’s impressively low-key beauty regime. Low-key for a model, anyway. Her secrets?
Balm! Added to the eyelids for a sheen, or her eyelashes if she foregoes mascara.
Old Spice. Yep, the men’s deodorant.
She adores Egyptian Magic“>Egyptian Magic. (But seriously, this product is absolute gold.)
Viviscal supplements. Both to keep her hair healthy and help it grow!
Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner. The “Hello Hydration” range fools even industry experts!
She eats “whatever [she] wants”. We call that the model gene. (Granted, she does so “in moderation” and works out.)

just got serious.
While the phenomenon of beauty gurus and how-to tutorials have gained popularity mostly through the bedrooms of teenage girls, the popular and time-crunching hobby of females worldwide has just turned very professional.
CoverGirl Global Creative Design Director and the indubitabous Queen of Make-up, Pat McGrath, has decided to team up with the gorgeous Jessica Stam to shoot “major how-to videos” for CoverGirl. Yesterday, @COVERGIRL, @Jess_Stam, and @patmcgrathreal engaged in a Twitter love fest, also hinting that the collaboration will expand beyond how-to videos.
Smart move, CoverGirl.
i-D magazine sure like their NSFW-ness, don’t they? Not that anyone is complaining since their rightly risqué Pre-Spring 2011 issue filled up by models Erin Wasson, Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman, and Hilary Rhoda (She’s back! She’s back!). Everything is still predominately ‘fashion‘ versus ‘trashion‘ thanks to the photography of Kayt Jones. View Post
