Last week I was invited to spend a morning with Louise Redknapp and Kim Jacob to celebrate the latest launch from their makeup line Wild About Beauty; the Spring/Summer 2013 Safari Nights Collection.
The collection includes three limited edition nail varnishes, an additional Nultrilips Balm and the Safari Nights palette (seen above and below). The limited edition palette – at £29 and free from parabens and petrochemicals like all of their products – is a complete steal. Focused around the ever-elusive ‘glow’, the palette contains a blush (03 Kitty), bronze highlight (02 Benny), gloss (02 Sasha), multi-purpose tint (02 Sandra) and eyeshadows in both creams (03 Buster and 02 Edna) and powders (03 Aine and 08 Polly) – all of Mrs Redknapp’s favourite shades.
Wild about Beauty will be donating £4 to the Born Free Foundation with every Safari Nights Palette sold.
When this collaboration between Swatch and accessories designer Fred Butler fell into my inbox, my sartorial thoughts began to race with rainbow-hued escapism. The perfect blend of utility and Butler’s synonymous wearable sculptures, her limited edition time-piece is a multicoloured must-have and will only be sold to 777 individuals worldwide. The watch, retailing at £178, will be available later this month.
Get The Look:
Supre multi-animal printed chiffon split cardigan (though there are plenty of suitable options on their women’s tops page)
Simmi Shoes blue Fiona wedged trainers (They are a whopping £350 cheaper than their chunkier Isabel Marant counterpart)
Oasap multicoloured chiffon interlaced handbag
While those of you who have read She Said Style will fully comprehend the purpose of ‘investment pieces‘, I am sure anyone who has yet to do so will have the same level of appreciation for Luxury Artisan.
This month, Luxury Artisan – a site which exclusively stocks six premium Italian brands – has launched in the UK. Brand names include Pineider, Giorgio Fedon, Cellerini, Madova, Chiarugi and Stefano Piazza; all brands of impeccable quality. With leather keyrings as low as £25 and a limited edition crocodile skin briefcase available for £8,750 – we can all indulge in a little quality.
My top five picks from Luxury Artisan (above) are detailed below!
Top to bottom and right to left:
Cashmere lined kid leather gloves – the contrast stitching and trim are gorgeous.
My dream briefcase (by Pineider) – definition of Italian elegance.
Crocodile-grained document bag – come on, I’m a girl who loves combining functionality with style!
48-Hour Leather Travel Bag – the lilac…the quality…drool-worthy.
Zip-around organizer – “CityChic“…does what it says on the tin.
Vaseline is one of those ‘magic products’ that cure almost any beauty ailment. Make-up remover, lip moisturizer, highlighter, night cream (when heated), eyebrow tamer, eyelash conditoner, the list goes on and on!
The smell, though? Nothing to write home about. Until now. As a complete creme brulee addict, I was thrilled to find out that after their Aloe Vera and Rosy tint releases, the brand has now released a limited edition Creme Brulee scent! Limited edition at Selfridges (also online) only, for just £2.99.
Food porn, for your time…
So, remember the George Condo‘s cover art to Kanye West‘s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”? The controversial (and much loved here at LL.com) mogul has turned them into scarves. With the help of Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag of M/M Paris, Yeezy produced 5 silk tweed neck beauties to be sold at $370. Though steep, only 100 of each scarf is being sold, meaning they are sure to sell out as soon as they are let loose this coming Monday.
You can purchase them through MMParis and Colette (in Paris, not that you didn’t already know). Make sure to save the stabbing scarf for me!
