For their June 2011 issue, Harper’s Bazaar España pulled out all the stops – including Anna de Rijk – to create a grungey, Spring/Summer 2011-inspired Americana vibe. “Resaca Punk” delights under the incredible styling of Juan Cebrián (Miu Miu! Those cross heels!) and effective photography of Txema Yeste. View Post
Last night, Kate attended the ARK 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner in London wearing Jenny Packham‘s uber-pearlescent gown from Spring/Summer 2011. The same dress Blair Waldorf manipulated in Gossip Girl for her engagement to a French prince. Life sort-of imitating art?
While it is all so easy to hash out the ‘who wore it better’ details, they both truly look incredible. Kate/Duchess Catherine wore the original pale pink version paired with peep-toe “Agata” heels by L.K Bennet, while Blair wore the Swarovski-crystalled beauty in a golden colour, hemmed shorter than the original. Bon, ladies. So bon.
Phew! Haven’t done a Behind The Camera for a while. I thought it was only fair, this time, to shine a little light on a dark corner of modelling: The Men’s Corner. While menswear seems to claw at the doors of high fashion, the models are enough reason to open said doors up. Case in point? 22-year-old French model Clement Chabernaud. All cheekbones, all man. His debut was at the Spring/Summer 2005 Dior Homme show in Paris, after which he gained ‘celebrity’ as the face of Jil Sander (who he has been walking for – opening and closing shows – ever since). This year, he also became the face of Prada and Salvatore Ferragamo.
Go on, get lost in his eyes.
Her new song, “Beat of My Drum“, is my musical pacemaker. In the video, she wears an asymmetrical, printed silk Suno jacket from Resort 2011, as well as ruffled bikini bottoms from their Spring/Summer 2011 offerings; it’s just…visual genius.
While flicking through the May 2011 issue of Elle Sweden, this photoshoot really caught my eye. Not only is the lighting incredible (nice job, Andreas Sjödin), but the stylist – Lisa Lindqwister – has made an indisputable success of producing outside of the box. Model Rosie Tupper looks hypnotically elysian in some of Spring/Summer 2011‘s loudest and most obvious pieces; a killer contrast. View Post
