Day Five of PFW – John Galliano

John Galliano PFW Runway
We all want to know what or who inspired John Galliano‘s show at the Opera Comique. Birds are telling me that it was con artist extraordinaire Maria Lani from the Twenties who convinced (ahem, scammed) over fifty leading artists of the day (including Matisse) to paint her portrait and then would flee with the paintings in tow. In this tribute all models were styled differently, each with a theatrical performance walk of their own. Like cotton candy with a Japanese taste, the British designer put on a real experience.
