lancome rouge in love
One of my fantastic writers over at She Said Beauty – Dani – wrote this review of Lancome’s Rouge in Love lipsticks. Now, I’m not one suckered by ad campaigns – so before hearing her rave review, I hadn’t taken it upon myself to try the lipsticks.

Now, I’m on the bandwagon. I ran off to Selfridges and purchased 322M – Corail in Love (right) and 381B – Violette Coquette (left). While I tend to opt for lipsticks with colour colour, there are plenty of natural and pinky-hued lipsticks for those of you who were put off at the aforementioned purple lipstick. (I imagine Rouge Rendez Vous is quite a big seller).

My review? Dani was so right. These babies are maintain the comfort of a lip balm, sit beautifully on the lips, and have a buildable-to-full-coverage range of colours. I want them all.

Emma Watson Feathers Elle

  • So, it’s definitely more feathers than fashion, but I am loving Emma Watson on the cover of Elle UK‘S November issue. The sherbet-coloured cover is unconvential, abnormally cropped and was shot by Rankin. A cover after my own heart! What do you think?

  • Next collaboration with Target? It’s Jason Wu!

Yesterday, @TargetStyle tweeted: “Who is the next #TargetDesigner? Get your sleuthing gear on, we’re about to share some clues.”

Then, “#TargetDesigner Clue 1: the new @TargetStyle designer began sketching the future of fashion at 5 years old.” (Any Wu fan would know he designed and sewed doll clothes as a child!)
Then, the second clue: “#TargetDesigner Clue 2: A beautiful visual… could it be from the next collection? tgt.bz/6016RVb8″

No more clues needed! Placing all my bets on Jason Wu.

  • Remember when America’s Next Top Model castoff Fatima Siad walked the Dries van Noten runway? (Come on, it was only two days ago…) Well, the gorgeous Somalian just joined the likes of Arizona Muse and Kasia Struss as a model for Hermes‘ Spring/Summer 2012 collection, as well! WERK.

  • The French government is honouring Glenda Bailey, the fanastic editor from Harper’s Bazaar, with a prestigious award given to artists who strive to strengthen the arts in France, the Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
  • Blair Waldorf
Gossip Girl’ started filming again, which means more Blair Waldorf wardrobe – and Leighton Meester – to lust over! The first public day of filming brought us Leighton in orange Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps, a citrus print Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2011 skirt, bright yellow ruffled blouse, and an orange Riki Rosetta tote.

    Emma Watson Deathly Hallows Photocall
On Wednesday, Emma Watson attended the photocall for “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2” at St Pancras station wearing a Rafael Lopez lace-and-tulle mini dress with a gold bodice. She paired the beauty with a black patent leather waistband and black Chanel pumps.

    Emma Watson Harry Potter Premiere
Emma again! This time at the world premiere of “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2” in Trafalgar Square. Perfection in a full-skirted Oscar de la Renta ballgown? I think so. Miss Granger also wore jewellery from Boodles.

    Dita von Teese Alexis Mabille
Though she didn’t attend any shows, Dita von Teese showed up at the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Fall 2011 Closing Party hosted by Chambre Syndicale de la Couture at Trianon Palace. The regal and curvaceous burlesque star wore a beautiful gown by Alexis Mabille from Fall/Winter 2010 – the same dress Leighton Meester wore on last season’s final episode of Gossip Girl.

    Natalia Vodianova
Though the dress code is all-white for “The White Fairy Tale Love Ball“, hostess and supermodel Natalia Vodianovia always wears red. This year she showed up in an incredible Red Riding Hood-esque gown, custom designed by Valentino Garavani.

    Kate Middleton Yellow Dress
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge touched down at Calgary Airport in Canada wearing a lemon-yellow silk crepe dress by Jenny Packham (a break from navy, woohoo!). She accessorized with her favourite L.K. Bennett pumps and a matching clutch.

    Kate Middleton BAFTA
For some reason, I never expected Kate Middleton to show up on a red carpet. That said, she wowed the crowds at last night’s BAFTA Brits To Watch Event, which was held at the Belasco Theatre in LA. She wore a princess-perfect lilac Alexander McQueen gown, silver Jimmy Choo “Vamp” glitter-finish sandals and matching clutch of the same designer.

    Mollie King Harry Potter
While I have never featured her before, Saturday‘s singer (and girlfriend to David Gandy) Mollie King truly impressed on the “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2” red carpet. Wearing the “Peignoir” lingerie-inspired Spring/Summer 2011 dress by Julien Macdonald and Nicholas Kirkwood two-tone peep-toes, she was an envelope-pushing breath of fresh air.

    Zooey Deschanel BAFTA
Zooey Deschanel‘s uniform involves wearing tights on almost every red carpet, making it quite unusual to see her at the BAFTA Brits To Watch Event in a legs-baring Fall/Winter 2011 dress by Oscar de la Renta. The tea-length design and scalloped hem keeps her style ‘uniform’ consistent, and is beyond lovely on her.

    Emma Watson Vogue
As part promotion of the final cinematic chapter of Harry Potter – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 – there is quite a bit of Emma Watson in US Vogue‘s July 2011 issue (shot by Mario Testino). Her cover and spread are filled with the best of Fall/Winter 2011; Prada to Tom Ford, Aquilano.Rimondi, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, and many more.

The “Emma Watson’s New Day” photos are so breathtaking that I barely noticed the male models – Jeremy Irvine, Luke Treadaway, and Tom Hughes – were there.

See the rest of the spread and part of her interview below! View Post

MTV Movie Awards 2011 Emma Stone

    Emma Stone

Almost every attendee of last night’s MTV Movie Awards looked spectacular. “Spiderman” actress Emma Stone was my top rated, giving the first red carpet look from Bottega Veneta‘s Fall/Winter 2011 collection. She paired her lace-overlayed, citrus dress with with orange, satin Casadei pumps and a Bottega Veneta clutch to match.
